PURPOSE STATEMENT

The purpose of this activity is to present evidence on controversial issues faced by emergency medicine physicians.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity is designed for emergency medicine physicians and hospitalists.


LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of this educational activity, participants will be able to:

  • Outline 4 major areas of controversy in cardiac emergency medicine.
  • Interpret the scientific research and clinical applications behind each argument (pro and con).
  • Develop critical thinking abilities by weighing the evidence for and against the strategies presented.
